Vanja Šiljak (born February 20, 1995 in Kranj ) is a Slovenian soccer player and karateka .

Career

society

Šiljak started her career at ŽNK Triglav Kranj . In the summer of 2009 she left Triglav Kranj and switched to the 1st SZNL for ŽNK Velesovo-Kamen Jerič . There she made her senior debut on March 21, 2010 against ŽNK HV TOUR Slovenj Gradec and scored two goals in a 4-2 win.

National team

Šiljak is a national team player for Slovenia . She previously played six UEFA international matches for the Slovenian U-19s and two for the Slovenian U-17 national team.

Personal

Šiljak was a successful karateka with the Shotokan Kranj karate club and won the gold medal in her age group of 14 to 15 year olds at the 2009 Grand Prix in Samobor , weighing 47 kilograms. Her national soccer team colleague Sara Ketiš was one of her opponents at the 2008 Junior World Cup in Kobe and Osaka .
