Cem Tosun (born June 30, 1990 in Vienna ) is an Austrian - Turkish soccer player .

Career

society

Tosun started playing soccer at the age of seven in the youth department of First Vienna FC 1894 and at the age of 13 moved to the youth department of the Austrian record champions SK Rapid Wien . Here he played continuously up to the amateurs, where he was already active at the age of 17 for the Rapid Amateurs, who currently played in the third highest division, the regional league. In the 2007/08 season he was Austrian champion with the U-19s. There he played with Yasin Pehlivan and Tanju Kayhan , among others . After a cruciate ligament rupture in 2009, his initially good chances of getting a place in the first team became increasingly unlikely.

After his healing he fought his way back and was loaned to the regional division FAC Team for Vienna in the summer of 2010 . A year later, Tosun and the transfer were signed. Here he played two mixed seasons and then moved to the Austrian second division club FC Lustenau . Despite his rather mediocre performance in the regional league at FAC, the then coach Damir Canadi gave him the opportunity to establish himself in the professional field. The first half of the 2012/13 season was very successful for Tosun. In the winter, however, the club had to relegate due to multiple violations of the licensing process and financial difficulties. Because of this, many players and officials left the club, including Tosun.

In the winter break of 2012/13, he signed with league rivals SCR Altach until the end of the season . The decisive factor was the change of coach Damir Canadi to SCR Altach, who wanted Tosun in his squad. Despite a successful second half of the season, the contract was not extended due to disagreements with the club's manager.

He spent the 2013/14 season in the Austrian second division at SKN St. Pölten . The first half of the season was successful for him, in contrast to the second half of the season. After 15 appearances and the first goal in his professional career, Tosun moved to the Turkish second division club Denizlispor in the 2014 summer transfer period . At that time he had several offers from the Austrian and Turkish second division. Tosun chose Denizlispor because he had good discussions with coach Özcan Bizati and the club had also paid off old debts and was therefore in a phase of upheaval.

As a result, he suffered a serious injury and was out for over two months. For the second half of the 2015/16 season he was loaned to the third division club Kartalspor .

After his return from Kartalspor, Tosun moved to Darıca Gençlerbirliği for the 2016/17 season .

National team

During his time at Rapid Vienna, Tosun played for the Austrian U-16, U-17 , U-18 and U-19 national teams . Then he decided to play for Turkey. In 2009 he played a friendly match with the Turkish U-21 national team against the Azerbaijani U-21 team .
