Sara Sommerfeld (born October 28, 1977 in Sollentuna , Sweden ) is a Swedish actress .

Life

Sara Sommerfeld was born the daughter of Polish-Jewish immigrants who emigrated to Sweden in 1968. Her grandmother survived the Auschwitz concentration camp . The daughter of two doctors, she grew up with four other sisters in the north of Stockholm. In her youth, Sommerfeld took ballet lessons, learned the violin and swam three times a week in a club. As a ten year old she was already on the stage. She successfully completed her acting training in 2001 at the Teaterhögskolan in Gothenburg .

Sommerfeld made her film debut with the television film Maskrosbarn, which was broadcast in 1989 and directed by Marianne Ahrne . Since then, she has appeared in films such as Best Intentions , Zero Tolerance - Witnesses in Fear and Tsatsiki - Friends Forever . She had her greatest success with the leading role of Nazli in the love drama Vingar av glas, directed by Reza Bagher . For this she was nominated for the Swedish national film award Guldbagge in 2001 as best leading actress .
