Tsatsiki is a Swedish children's film from 2001.

action

At school the teacher asks who is the loneliest. Tsatsiki thinks of an astronaut. But the teacher then says that he will come back to earth. Will, on the other hand, has the correct answer. The loneliest is the one who has no friends. And will is lonely. He is avoided by the other students because he stutters.

Tsatsiki wants to meet Maria for dinner. But when he gets to her, her parents argue. Then Maria puts Tsatsiki in front of the door. She doesn't want anything to do with love. Tsatsiki thinks that Maria doesn't like him because he can't kiss. So he decides to practice this with his friend Pär Hammar. You invite two girls. But the kiss party goes completely wrong.

The next day the girls riot about Tsatsiki about it, and Maria agrees too. It turns out that Tsatsiki Maria once revealed that Pär Hammar sometimes still goes to bed. Because Tsatsiki had betrayed this to Maria, Par Hammar turns away from Tsatsiki. So now Tsatsiki stands alone.

Tsatsiki's mother is a musician and was given the chance to perform in Japan. Therefore, she cannot go to Greece with Tsatsiki, where his father lives. So Tsatsiki goes to Greece with his grandpa. His paternal grandfather is dying. But before he dies, they climb a mountain together. The grandfather explains that this was the place where he met his wife. They were partisans at the time and initially became friends there. Because without friendship there is no love.

Back in Sweden, Tsatsiki settles the dispute with Pär Hammar. And love with Maria can now develop after he has learned that friendship is the most important thing in life. That is why he also realizes that will cannot be excluded and becomes friends with it.

comment

The film is based on a series of books by Swede Moni Brännström , which began with Tsatsiki-Tsatsiki . It is the continuation of Tsatsiki - octopuses and first kisses (alternative title: Tsatsiki, Mama and the Policeman ) from 1999 . Compared to the first film, the roles of mother and Göran have been reassigned.
