Reza Bagher
Reza Bagher (born March 10, 1958 in Tehran ) is a Swedish film director and screenwriter .
Life
Originally from Iran , Bagher grew up in a middle-class family in Tehran. In 1976 he went to Sweden to train as an engineer . However, he only practiced this profession for a short time and instead took up a second degree at the Stockholm Theater Academy in the subjects of drama and film.
Since 1982 he has made 13 short and three feature films. For his first feature film, wings made of glass , he received the Children's Film Prize of the Nordic Film Institute at the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck in 2001. Capricciosa followed in 2003 . His greatest international success to date is popular music from Vittula from 2004, a film adaptation of the novel by Mikael Niemi . Bagher wrote the scripts for all three feature films himself.
