Sarah Davidson
Sarah Davidson (born December 5, 1958 in Toronto ) is a Canadian harpist and music teacher.
The daughter of jazz cornet player Jimmy Davidson and violinist Erica Zentner studied harp with Judy Loman and music theory with Bonnie Silver . At the age of fourteen she made her debut as a guest soloist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra . In 1979 she became principal harpist in the orchestra of the Canandian Opera Company , and from 1980 to 1985 she worked in the same capacity with the National Ballet Orchestra . As a soloist, she has performed with various Canadian orchestras, but also in England and Scotland.
From 1976 Davidson gave private lessons, in addition she worked as a juror in various music competitions, at the Glenn Gould School and the University of Toronto . Since 2006 she has been teaching harp at the Don Wright Faculty of Music at the University of Western Ontario .
