Sarah Hope Slean (born June 21, 1977 in Pickering , Ontario ) is a Canadian singer-songwriter , painter , actress and photographer .

life and career

Slean attended Dunbarton High School in her hometown of Pickering. After school, the Canadian studied music at York University in Toronto . Slean graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in music and philosophy .

The first of four studio albums was released in August 1998. It is called Blue Parade and was released on an independent label. All the rest were released on Atlantic Records , a very prestigious record company that belongs to the Warner Music Group . The titles are Night Bugs (2002), Day One (2004) and The Baroness (2008). In addition to these studio albums, Sarah Slean also recorded live albums and EPs . The three released singles, Lucky Me , When Another Midnight and Mary , all come from the album Day One .
