Sarah Wyss

Sarah Wyss (born on August 3, 1988 in Basel ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ). She has been a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Basel-Stadt since 2013 .

Life

Sarah Wyss grew up in Basel and Münchenstein . She graduated from the Lycée cantonal de Porrentruy with a French-speaking Matura . She then studied economics and history at the University of Basel and graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2014. In 2015, she also completed a master's degree in European Studies at the University of Basel . Since 2016 she has been the managing director of the Swiss Self-Help Foundation.

Wyss was President of Juso Basel-Stadt from 2009 to 2013 . Since 2010 she has been a member of the party executive committee of the SP Basel-Stadt. She has been a member of the Grand Council since 2013 . She is a member of the Finance Commission and has been President of the Health and Social Commission since 2018. She has also been a member of the Basel Citizens' Council since 2014 .
