The Sarao Point is a 1700 m high and m² in area 10 large ledge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Deep Freeze Range protrudes a few meters from the Tourmaline plateau .
It was discovered in January 1990 by the Italian scientists Robert Sarao and Claudio Giudici. The first is the namesake of the formation on which he had an accident while working on an expedition carried out from 1993 to 1994.
