Sarnóczay de Sarnó is an old Hungarian noble family from Hont county . They had their headquarters in Veľké Krškany .

history

Sebastian Sarnóczay de Sarnó was mentioned as the first known ancestor of this family in the first half of the 17th century. King Ferdinand III. renewed the coat of arms and nobility letter on May 6, 1655 in Pressburg and was announced in Zólyom County on July 17, 1655 and in Svätý Anton , Hont County on December 9, 1698. This renewal applied to George and his wife Ursula Timeth and their sons Stefan and Andreas.

This sex owned lordships in Veľké Krškany, Domadice , Chorvátice and Sobotište . It belonged to the higher nobility and is related to these noble families Pomothy , Szent-Ivanyi, Gosztonyi, Rajcsanyi, Horváthy and Döry.

  • Coat of arms : blue shield, a gold lion on a green three- hill, holding a scimitar with a gold cross- guard in the raised right hand. Helmet jewel: pelican in the nest, as in the family coat of arms. Helmet covers: blue-gold and red-silver.
