Krškany ( Hungarian Kereskény ) is a Slovak municipality in the Levice district .
history
The settlement was first mentioned in a document in 1242. According Urbarium from 1767 the settlement belonged to the noble families Disznóssy, Agardy, Horváthy, POMOTHY , Zmeškal, Paulik and Kršák. The present municipality was established in 1960 from the places Malé Krškany and Veľké Krškany.
