Elliot Daly (born October 8, 1992 in Croydon , London ) is an English rugby union player . He plays in various positions in the backcourt for the England national team , the British and Irish Lions and the Saracens .

childhood and education

Daly grew up in London and started playing rugby at Beckenham RFC. He later played for the Dorking RFC before being discovered by the Wasps and accepted into their academy.

Career

society

Daly first played in a competitive game for the Wasps in November 2010, opponents were the Exeter Chiefs . He moved to the Saracens for the 2019/20 season.

National team

Daly made his national team debut at the 2016 Six Nations against Ireland . At the end of the tournament, the English won the Grand Slam. He scored his first points for England with a penalty against South Africa in November 2016 , and a week later he made his first attempt against Fiji . In 2017 he won the Six Nations again with England. In the summer of the same year he was nominated for the British and Irish Lions and was used in all three games of the Test series against New Zealand as an outside three-quarters . He was nominated for his first world championship in 2019 .
