Brhlovce (German Berflowetz , Hungarian Borfő ) is a municipality in western Slovakia . It is located in the Danube Hills , about 13 km from Levice .
The place was first mentioned in writing as Burfen in 1245 . The later two independent villages on the banks of the brook Búr opposite each other - Horné Brhlovce (Hungarian Kálnaborfő ) and Dolné Brhlovce (Hungarian Tegzesborfő ) - united in 1952. Another part of the municipality, which is east of the main town, is Kamenný Chotár .
