Sascha Thom

Sascha Thom (* 26. July 1945 in Czechoslovakia as Alexandra Knesplová ) is a Czech-German pop singer .

Life

Sascha Thom performed for the first time in the GDR in 1967. At the Liszt School of Music Weimar she received a two-year training in singing, piano and dance through a funding contract from the Erfurt concert and guest performance directorate . Since 1968 she has lived in Berlin (then still East Berlin ). Since the end of the 1970s, Amiga has made some recordings as well as recordings on the radio in the GDR. With the title It wasn't a dream , it was number 1 on the GDR hit parade eleven times.

The singer's repertoire includes folk songs, hits, musicals and chansons. She still performs occasionally with her husband.

She is married to Konrad Körner and lives on the Kaulsdorfer Lakes on the outskirts of Berlin.
