Sascha Weber (born September 29, 1980 in Calgary ) is a Canadian floorball player. He mainly plays in defense.

Life

When he was three years old, the family moved to Rotkreuz ZG, Switzerland, where he spent most of his childhood. After finishing school, he completed an apprenticeship as an optician. He then worked in the office as a businessman before he decided in 2009 to go to the PH Luzern and study as a secondary teacher. He completed his studies in 2016 and now works as a class teacher in the canton of Zurich.

After his first attempts at Küssnachter SC , he realized that his sport was not ice hockey, but floorball. Weber started his floorball career in 1993 at UHC Oberland 84. After moving back to Rotkreuz again , he continued his career at Astros Rotkreuz . In 2000 he moved to UHC Zugerland , where he played for nine years and later also served as junior chairman and served as vice president from 2010 to 2014. For the 2009/10 season he moved back to Astros Rotkreuz. From 2010/11 he played for the UHC Zuger Highlands , for which he played until 2017. When he moved to Zurich, he joined the 2nd team of GC Unihockey . As long as he has not yet scored a goal for GC Unihockey, he will continue to play.

National team

Since Sascha Weber was born in Canada, he has a Canadian passport. He played a total of 17 games for the Canadian national floorball team and took part in the floorball world championships from 2008 to 2012.

As a supervisor

After retiring from the UHC Zuger Highlands, he moved to the position of coach and looked after the men in the first division large field for two seasons.

National team

After the end of his playing career, Sascha Weber preferred to support the team behind gang and supported the national team at the 2016 World Cup in Riga and 2018 in Prague.
