Sascha Westphal (* 1971 in Dortmund ) is a German film and theater critic.

Westphal studied theater, film and television studies, German and history in Bochum . Since 1994 he has been working as a freelance theater and film critic for various daily newspapers, magazines and internet portals. He writes u. a. for epd Film , filmstarts.de , the Frankfurter Rundschau , kulturwest.de, nachtkritik.de , Theater der Zeit, the WAZ , Die Welt and Derwesten.de . Westphal lives in Dortmund
