Sasserides is an impact crater south of the lunar front , south of Mare Nubium , northeast of Tycho crater, and south of the smaller Ball crater . Although the crater has a diameter of more than 80 kilometers, it is difficult to make out because of the heavy erosion and superposition of the crater rim.
