Satoko Inoue

Satoko Inoue ( Japanese 井上 郷 子 Inoue Satoko ; * 1958 ) is a Japanese pianist who specializes in contemporary music .

She studied at Gakugei University Tokyo and was initially a pianist in the Musica Practica Ensemble Tokyo. She has been a soloist since 1991 and has since performed works a. a. the Japanese composers Jō Kondō , Yoriaki Matsudaira , Matsudaira Yoritsune , Satoshi Tanaka and Toshi Ichiyanagi as well as the Swiss Max E. Keller and Jean-Luc Darbellay for the world premiere. In 1992 she took part in the international summer courses for new music in Darmstadt. In 2010 she received the Keizo Saji Prize from the Suntory Foundation for Arts. She is a professor at the Kunitachi University of Music in Tokyo.
