Satoru Akahori

Satoru Akahori ( Japanese あ か ほ り さ と る , Akahori Satoru , actually: 赤 堀 悟 ; born March 8, 1965 in Handa , Aichi Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese writer. He is known for his anime scripts and his co-authorship of mangas .

Working on the scripts for anime television series such as Samurai Pizza Cats (1990-1991), Video Girl Ai (1992) and Galaxy Fraulein Yuna (1995), he established a reputation as a writer in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Gradually, he was not only allowed to implement the ideas of others, but Akahori's own stories were increasingly filmed, including numerous successes such as Bakuretsu Hunter (1995–1996), Master of Mosquiton (1996) and Saber Marionette (1996–1997). In the following years he published light novels for some of these cartoon series , for example twelve volumes on Saber Marionette .

Akahori, who is married to the mangaka Miyuki Kitagawa , achieved other successful anime series in the 2000s: he worked on some episodes of the series Abenobashi Mahō Shōtengai (2002) as well as on its manga implementation and wrote the stories for Lime-iro Senkitan (2003) and Kashimashi - Girl Meets Girl (2006). Together with the illustrator Hiroshi Itaba , he created the comic series Mouse ( マ ウ ス , mausu ) for the manga magazine Young Animal from 2000 to 2004 .

After co-producing Bakuretsu Hunter in 1995 , he has been a producer again since 2005. His previous productions are Happy Seven (2005) and Yoshinaga-sanchi no Gargoyle (2006).
