Satyadeow Sawh

Satyadeow Sawh (born June 13, 1955 in Central Mahaicony , East Coast, Demerara , † April 22, 2006 in Georgetown ) was a Guyanese politician .

Sawh received his bachelor's degree in economics from York University in Toronto and worked at the Ryerson Polytechnical Institute there . From 1975 to 1992 he was a representative of the People's Progressive Party of Guyana in Canada . He also worked as a publisher for the Guyana Current newspaper .

As ambassador, Sawh represented his country from 1993 to 1996 in Venezuela , Ecuador and Colombia . Since 1996 he sat as a member of the National Assembly and was also Minister for Fisheries, Forestry, Grain and Livestock, from 1997 until his death he was Minister for Agriculture.

Sawh was murdered along with some members of his family. He was married and had two children.
