Württemberg wine queen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Württemberg Wine Queen (also Württemberg Wine Queen ) is the representative of the German wine-growing region Württemberg , who is elected for one year . On behalf of the Württemberg winegrowing association , which organizes the election, she represents regional viticulture as part of its public relations work and is present at events relating to viticulture during her term of office.

Candidates should be at least 18 years old and have knowledge of viticulture in Württemberg. The Württemberg wine queen is elected each autumn. From the other participants in the election, one to three Wuerttemberg wine princesses are appointed to support the wine queen in her tasks. Like all wine queens in the German wine-growing regions, the Württemberg wine queen is automatically a candidate for the election of the German wine queen , who has come from Württemberg four times so far.

The Württemberg wine queen 2019/2021 is Tamara Elbl from Untersteinbach (the Württemberg winegrowing association extended the term of office of its wine sovereignty until 2021 on July 10, 2020).

Remarks

  1. The Wuerttemberg Winegrowing Association lists all of the named as Wuerttemberg or Wuerttemberg Wine Queen. Hildegard Seiz from Flein was expressly elected Wuerttemberg Wine Queen at the Unterländer Week in Heilbronn in 1951 (Alexander Renz: Chronik der Stadt Heilbronn. Volume VI: 1945–1951 . Stadtarchiv Heilbronn, Heilbronn 1995, ISBN 3-928990-55-1 ( publications by Archives of the City of Heilbronn . Volume 34). S. 525). Since the election was organized by the Weinbauverband Württemberg-Baden (see the history of the Weinbauverband Württemberg ), which existed until 1964, some were officially wine queens of Württemberg-Baden or Württemberg-Baden wine queens, cf. Chronicle of the winemaker's dance in Niederstetten under 1954 or a photo of the 1961 regional wine award (in the brochure 50 years of regional wine award ( memento from March 4, 2016 in the Internet Archive ) (PDF; 1.1 MB)), which the wine queen Marianne Fingerle with the Württemberg sash -Bathing shows. Karin Dichiser from Weingarten in Baden was also the wine queen of Württemberg-Baden from 1962. After a break of several years, a wine queen was re-elected from 1972 onwards (Werner Föll: Chronik der Stadt Heilbronn. Volume X: 1970–1974 . Stadtarchiv Heilbronn, Heilbronn 1999, ISBN 3-928990-68-3 ( Publications of the Archives of the City of Heilbronn . Volume 38 ). P. 143).
