Friedlinde Gurr-Hirsch (born June 21, 1954 in Untergruppenbach ; born Friedlinde Gurr ) is a German CDU politician and a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . From 2004 to 2011 she was political state secretary in the Ministry of Food and Rural Areas and has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group since 2011. When the green-black state government took office in May 2016, she returned to the post of Political State Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Areas and Consumer Protection .

education and profession

After graduating from the Justinus-Kerner-Gymnasium in Heilbronn and studying to become a teacher at vocational schools at the University of Applied Sciences in Stuttgart-Hohenheim with the subjects of economics and business administration, politics and Protestant theology, she worked as a lecturer at the Andreas- Tailoring school in Heilbronn.

Volunteering

In 1976 Friedlinde Gurr-Hirsch was elected Wuerttemberg Wine Queen and in 1976/77 also German Wine Queen . She was one of the initiators of the Council for Women , a model project of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs , which she helped shape from 1997 to 2004 as a member of the advisory board. Friedlinde Gurr-Hirsch headed the Heilbronn District Association of the Europa-Union Germany as chairwoman from 1979 to 1988. As honorary district chairman, she has been leading the Blasmusikkreisverband Heilbronn eV since 2001. In 2011, she was also elected to the board of the Burgfestspiele Stettenfels eV association and chair of the home care work group in the Stuttgart administrative region. Since 2012 she has been Vice President of the Federal Association of German Music Associations

Political activity

Friedlinde Gurr-Hirsch joined the CDU in 1978 after two years of membership in the district board of the Junge Union Heilbronn .

Since 1993 she has held the position of deputy CDU district chairman in the Heilbronn CDU district association and has been a member of the district executive board of the CDU North Württemberg since 2001. From 1980 to 2004 Friedlinde Gurr-Hirsch exercised the office of councilor in Untergruppenbach . She was chairman of the parliamentary group there for 23 years and from 1994 to 2004 also deputy mayor. In 1984 Friedlinde Gurr-Hirsch was elected to the district assembly of the Heilbronn district, where she was a member of the school and culture committee and the administrative committee until 2004 and, since 1985, she was also the deputy chairwoman of the CDU district assembly. From 1994 to 2004 Friedlinde Gurr-Hirsch was a member of the association assembly of the regional association Heilbronn-Franken and from 2000 to 2004 first deputy chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group.

In 2001 , 2006 , 2011 and 2016 , Gurr-Hirsch won his first mandate in the Eppingen constituency . From 2004 to 2011 she was State Secretary in the Ministry of Food and Rural Areas of Baden-Württemberg and a member of the state government. She has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group since 2011. After the formation of a green-black state government in May 2016, she was again State Secretary in the Ministry for Rural Areas and Consumer Protection.
