Bärbl Mielich (born May 22, 1952 in Wuppertal ) has been a member of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group in the Baden-Württemberg state parliament since 2006 and State Secretary in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration since 2016 .

Life

Bärbl Mielich is married and has three grown children. The qualified social pedagogue and family mediator has been a member of the Greens since 1984. In autumn 1987 she was elected to the district council of the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district. From January 1988 until her election to the state parliament in 2006, she was chairman of the local green district parliamentary group. From 1996 to 2000 she was a member of the state board of the Greens in Baden-Württemberg. Since 2000 she has been the spokeswoman for the Federal Working Group of the Greens for the areas of work, social affairs and health.

In the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2006 , she ran in the state electoral district of Breisgau and obtained a second mandate. There she was health policy spokeswoman for her group and from 2011 to 2016 chairwoman of the social committee. In the state election in 2016 , she won the direct mandate in her constituency. On May 12, 2016, she was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration Baden-Württemberg .
