Majesties Vineyard
On April 23, 2008, the so-called majesties vineyard was opened in the Weinheimer Trift in the district of Weinheim by the wine majesties of the 2006/07 vintage Julia Metzler (wine queen), as well as Nicole Barth, Christine Huff, Kathrin Paukner and Mirjam Schneider (wine princesses) . The ex-majesties planted two Riesling vines each in the ground.
The implementation of Julia Metzler's idea is thanks to the Weinheim winemakers, the city of Alzey and the Weinheim district. They took care of the organization and the preparatory work and thus enabled the wine majesties to create this living monument.
With the planting of the vineyard, the Rheinhessen wine majesties want to set a visible sign of their commitment and the growing area even after their term of office. The vineyard will now grow a little bit bigger every year.
