Saulius Aloyzas Bernardas Kutas

Saulius Aloyzas Bernardas Kutas (born June 21, 1935 in Kupiškis ) is a Lithuanian former official of the Energy Administration and politician , Minister of Energy of Lithuania .

Life

From 1938 onwards, Kutas lived with his family in Šėta , Kėdainiai District . After graduating from the Šėta Middle School near Kėdainiai in 1953, he completed his engineering degree from 1953 to 1958 at the electrical engineering faculty at the Kauno politechnikos institutas and worked as an engineer . In 1990 he was Deputy Minister of Energy . From February 23, 1996 to November 19, 1996, he was Lithuania's energy minister in the 7th government led by Laurynas Mindaugas Stankevičius . On August 23, 2001, Saulius Kutas became a member of the Council of the State Nuclear Power Safety Inspectorate VATESI ( Valstybinė atominės energetikos saugos inspekcija prie LRV ) and director of the inspection at the same time. After that he worked as an expert in the administration of VATESI.

Kutas is a member of the editorial board of the Lithuanian scientific magazine "Mokslas ir technika", participant in international and national conferences on energy issues.

In November 2006, the Lithuanian government decided to give the former energy minister the state pension (from 552 LTL, 2006) of the first degree for post-independence activity in helping to build the energy industry.
