The Sauloch (also Sauloch Gorge ) is a gorge in the Deggendorf district in Bavaria between the towns of Rohrmünzmühle and Zwieselerbruck. Sauloch appears for the first time as a place name in a place directory dated June 14, 1842.

The Kerbtal is cut up to 200 m deep. In the upper section of the valley, an extensive block heap was created under periglacial conditions , some of which is still in motion.

The Saulochbach flows through the Sauloch and flows into the Höllbach at Zwieselerbruck. From Rohrmünzmühle upwards the Saulochbach is called Loosbach. It drains the Looswiesen valley east of Rohrmünzmühle, between the Schellenberg, Dreitannenriegel and Hirschenkopf mountains (despite its name being wooded) . Its total length is little more than 3 km. In Zwieselerbruck it feeds a run-of-river power plant from the Rusel power plants .

Until the 20th century, the only way from Deggendorf to Rohrmünz led through the Sauloch . In the lowest 300 meters of the valley, up to the junction to Tattenberg, the Böhmweg also runs through the Sauloch.
