Savage (musician)
Savage (born November 28, 1956 in Massa as Roberto Zanetti ) is an Italian musician and producer who had his artistic peak in the 1980s as part of the Italo disco scene .
Zanetti played keyboard as an amateur in various bands . He started as a professional musician with the band “Santarosa”, whose successful single “Souvenir” was sold 200,000 times in Italy. In 1983 he took the stage name "Savage" and began his career as a solo performer. Savage's first track, Don't Cry Tonight , became a huge international hit in 1983.
Zanetti chose the name ROBYX for his work as a producer. Numerous successful productions for Zucchero , Corona , Alexia , Double You , Ice MC and other artists have been created under this label, especially since the early 1990s .
His songs have been covered several times, for example the entire album Tonight was released in Chinese, sung by a Chinese rock star. Even today, Savage appears at major events such as the Diskoteka-80 in Moscow at the end of 2006 and is cheered by numerous fans.

Roberto Zanetti derived the name from the comic character Doc Savage .
