The Sawera snow field ( Bulgarian ледник Завера Lednik Sawera ) is one kilometer north-south orientation of 18 long and 16 km wide snow field in the south of Trinity Peninsula of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the northeastern foothills of the Detroit Plateau , it lies south of Diplock Glacier , north of Mount Wild, and northeast of Kopito Ridge . It flows off in the Prinz Gustav Canal .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2011 after the Weltschow uprising ( Weltschowa Sawera ) of 1835.
