The Sayen Rocks are two rocky outcrops in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland that are only visible from the north . In the Jones Mountains they loom near the icy summit crest between Miller Crag and Sutley Peak .
A team of University of Minnesota , which until 1961 the Jones Mountains explored from 1960, they mapped. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1963 after Lawrence D. Sayen (* 1939) of the United States Navy , photographer with the VX-6 flight squadron, who was involved in the creation of aerial photographs of the Jones Mountains in January 1961.
