Saygin Yalçin

Saygin Yalçin (born April 25, 1984 in Bremen ) is a German entrepreneur who is active in social media. His Instagram account has around 681,000 subscribers, his YouTube channel around 914,000.

Life

Saygin Yalçın grew up as the son of Turkish guest workers in Bremen. He studied at WHU . In 2009 he moved to Dubai . After selling his company sukar.com to the online shopping site souq.com, he was its partner. Souq.com was later sold to Amazon for $ 580 million . He then founded other companies, including a. sellanycar.com and Akindoo.

For the expansion of sellanycar.com into Europe, he raised around 10 million euros in an investment round from Polar Light Ventures. In another investment round, he wanted to collect 100 million euros, which would make the company a unicorn . However, the investment round was canceled. There were no more investment rounds for sellanycar.com. In 2015 sellanycar.com also came to Germany. The aim was to take over the market leadership from the AUTO1 Group . The operative business of sellanycar.com in Germany was stopped after a few months.

Yalçın produces the Startup Hero show on Youtube. He was voted one of the most influential people in Dubai by Arabianbusiness.com magazine. In 2018 he was named Star of the Year 2018 at the Men's Health & Women's Health Excellence Awards, an award for personalities in health, fitness and wellbeing . He won the Emerging Leaders Award 2018 from Khaleej Times magazine and was voted among the 40 under 40 by Fortune Turkey in 2014 . 2018 he was selected by Arabian Business to 1 of 100 inspiring leaders in the Middle East selected.
