Sayuri Shimizu ( Japanese 清水 小百合 , Shimizu Sayuri ; born January 14, 1989 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a Japanese short tracker .

She made her debut in the 2008/09 season in Salt Lake City in the World Cup. Shimizu started in a total of two World Cup races, but was eliminated in all competitions in the preliminary stages. However, it was not until the 2010/11 season that she became an integral part of the Japanese World Cup team. She took part in all six World Cups and achieved three semi-finals as the best result over 500 m and 1500 m. In addition, Shimizu started for the first time at the season highlights. At the World Championships in Sheffield she was eliminated from the season in the semifinals, at the Team World Championships in Warsaw she finished sixth. In the following season 2011/12 Shimizu was especially successful with the relay. She reached four podium places in the relay races in the World Cup. In individual races she reached the semi-finals twice over 1000 m. At the World Championships in Shanghai , she started again with the relay, but this was disqualified in the semifinals.
