Sayyid ul Sadaat

Sayyid ul Sadaat is a title given to a high-ranking sayyid . A sayyid is a descendant of the Islamic prophet Mohammed . In the Emirates of Afghanistan this title was used in honor of the head of the Prophet's descendants.

This title can be equated with the title Naqib ul-Ashraf , which in the times of the Ottoman Empire denotes an authority that administers the affairs of the Prophet's descendants in an area. This includes the official registrations of his descendants, as well as maintaining the tradition of preaching and representing Islam .

Family of Sayyid Mir Fazlullah Sadaat

This title became more famous through Mir Fazlullah, who as the highest Islamic scholar and judge was the most famous sayyid in the emirates of Afghanistan . The title Sayyid ul Sadaat was especially given in honor of Sayyid Mir Fazlullah, who was the de facto head of all descendants of the Prophet in the Afghan region.

Sayyid Mir Fazlullah comes from a family of the Prophet's descendants who were known for their in-depth knowledge of Islamic mysticism and law , which was traditionally passed down from father to son. This tradition began with Khwaja Ismail Muhammad Hakim, who is the fifth generation of the seventh Imam of the family of prophets, Imam Musa al Kasim.
