Beautiful Tower (Erding)

Nice tower, the city gate from the city center

The beautiful tower , also called Landshuter Tor , is the last remaining gate tower in the old town of Erding in Upper Bavaria .

history

The tower was built in 1408 in the late Gothic style of the Landshut building school on the eastern city wall.

The tower was badly damaged during the Thirty Years War . The hipped roof destroyed by fire was replaced by a dome between 1660 and 1664 .
