Location of Schönfließ in Brandenburg
Schönfließ was first mentioned in a document around 1354 as Schönenflies . The feudal lord was the Margrave of Brandenburg and from 1354 to 1598 the Bishop of Lebus. Of the church in the village, which was built in 1878 as a single-nave neo-Romanesque brick building, only a ruin remains today. At the end of February 1945, German troops blew up the church tower. The nave was also badly damaged.
