The house at Schöninger Strasse 4, 5 is a listed building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located on the north side of Schöninger Straße in the Sudenburg district . The building, which is also listed, is adjacent to Schöninger Strasse 6, 7 to the west.

Architecture and history

The four-story representative house was built around 1880/1890 in the neo-baroque style . It was built from bricks and has a mezzanine . The facade of the first floor is rusticated . The upper floors are separated from it by ornamental friezes or notched friezes . Above the windows on the first and third floors there are snail motifs, on the second floor there are semicircular or triangular gables. The facade is achtachsig, wherein each of the outer two axes as flat risalits emerge.

As part of a partially preserved Wilhelminian style street, the building is considered to be significant in terms of urban development.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 82112 .
