The Schürzenjäger band , until 2011 Hey man! Band , was founded in 2007 and is the successor to the Zillertaler Schürzenjäger . In May 2011, the 2007 Alfred Eberharter sen. and jun. founded Hey man! Band around and thus took on the name of the old band.

Band history

Shortly after the Schürzenjäger broke up , Alfred Eberharter senior and junior founded the company under the name “Hey Mann! Band “, which comes from the identification phrase Hey man! der Schürzenjäger derives a new band together with the new singer Stevy Wilhelm, Johannes Hintersteiner, Andreas Marberger and Georg Daviotis. The band plays both newly recorded songs and old philanderer hits. There will also be concert tours and open airs in Finkenberg again.

In May 2011 it became known that the band, which plays almost the same music as the former Schürzenjäger and thus musically parallels are recognizable, wanted to take on the old band name again and worked with this mostly new line-up in the studio on an album, which will be back in September the band name Schürzenjäger should appear. In August there was again an open-air concert in Finkenberg, which was initially open-air as Hey Mann! Band was planned, but now became the philosopher's revival , which was followed by a tour. The band has been performing under the name Schürzenjäger again since June 2011 at appearances on television and at concerts. There was already some turbulence: A planned appearance at the popular Schlager Open Air at Flumserberg on July 31, 2011 had to be canceled after management and the organizers could not agree due to the name change.

In 2016 Johannes Hintersteiner left the band to devote himself to his own musical projects in the future. His successor is Christof von Haniel, who already played keyboard and accordion with the old Schürzenjäger. In 2017 guitarist Georg Daviotis left the band after eight years and was replaced by Dennis Tschoeke.
