German Chess League 2010/11 (Switzerland)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2010/11 season of the Swiss Bundesliga in chess saw a duel for the title between the defending champions Valais and Basel BVB, which the Valais won thanks to the victory in a direct comparison.

Schwarz-Weiss Bern was promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga and achieved relegation, while Lugano CS had to relegate. Since Lugano did not compete against Schwarz-Weiss Bern, a team point was deducted from them, but they would have been relegated without the point deduction. For the reported team squads of the participating clubs, see the team squad of the Swiss 1st Bundesliga in chess 2010/11 .
