Scharek was an ancient Egyptian king ( Pharaoh ), who in Memphis priest pedigree one generation before Apopi I. and two generations before Ahmose I listed. Mostly he is identified in Egyptology with the Hyksos king Salitis of the 15th dynasty .
According to Schneider , the name could be derived from the north-west Semitic shellk , which means (The God NN) saved .
