The Scheibenhütte is an Alpine Club hut belonging to the Mürzzuschlag section of the Austrian Alpine Club .

history

The hut, which opened on December 26, 1897, was built on the initiative of Toni Schruf . Even after several renovations and modernizations, the actual character of the hut has been preserved to this day.

The hut is one of the oldest ski huts in the Alps.

location

The hut is located directly south of the summit of the Großer Scheibe in the Rax-Schneeberg group .
