Eisenbahnverkehr aktuell is an Austrian specialist magazine for rail transport (railways and trams). It was published monthly from 1974 to the end of 2009 by Pospischil Verlag in Vienna . It has been published by Minirex ( Lucerne ) since January 2010 .
A special trademark is the static layout with a high recognition value . It is characterized by an often critical attitude towards the Austrian state railway company ÖBB as well as towards politics as far as it concerns the rail transport system. In the middle of the magazine there is usually a large-format, historical train photo. The booklet also contains various information from the world of model railways. Previous editions included folders with photos and drawings of locomotives, railcars and wagons.
Peter Pospischil was the publisher and founder. The editor-in-chief was Ernst Kabelka from its foundation until the end of 2009.
The Pospischil publishing house also publishes the series of books, Bahn im Bild , whose individual volumes are currently similar in many respects to the editions of Eisenbahnverkehr.
