The group's music can be described as a mixture of psychobilly , rockabilly and punk . As with many representatives of this genre, the use of a double bass is characteristic .
The most obvious role model is the punk rock legend The Cramps , which is also reflected in the appearance of the band.
history
1996 Patricia learned in the Popkomm in Cologne , they at the program with her band Peanut Pump Gun participated, the Nekromantix know -Mitgründer Kim Nekroman (born Dan Gaarde). They decided to start a joint project. With the addition of two members of the band Strawberry Slaughterhouse , the horror pops were born.
After several line-up changes, including two dancers for the live shows, the band now consists of front woman Patricia Day ( vocals , double bass ), Kim Nekroman ( guitar ), Niedermeier ( drums ), the former Tiger Army and AFI bassist Geoff Kresge ( Guitar) as well as the two animation girls Kamilla and Naomi.
After the Horrorpops years almost exclusively toured three regular albums have now appeared that the Epitaph Records - sub-label Hellcat were published.
Patricia and Kim are now married, as are Kamilla and Geoff.
