Schierholz (Calvörde)

The Schierholz is a forest area south of Calvörde .

location

It is located in the district of Calvörde and is part of the Calvörde forest . In the north lies Calvörde, in the east the forest area Rantenhorst , in the south lies Wieglitz and in the west there is the Mittelland Canal as the western border of the forest area.

particularities

There are still many boulders in Schierholz today. Nearby there are still boundary stones that remind of the time when Calvörde belonged to the Duchy of Braunschweig . It is also part of the Klüdener Pax-Wanneweh nature reserve .
