The Klüdener Pax-Wanneweh is a nature reserve in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel and in the district of Börde in Saxony-Anhalt . Most of the area is in the municipality of Calvörde . The total area of ​​the nature reserve is 1162  hectares .

The nature reserve is located 1.5 kilometers east of Calvörde between Lössewitz and Zobbenitz including the forest areas Schierholz , Rantenhorst , Zobbenitzer Pax and Klüdener Pax as well as a small part in the north of Uthmöden .

The nature reserve includes a large number of biotopes such as deciduous forests, small arable land, grassland, fens , numerous spring zones and an extensive water network with the Wanneweh a small tributary of the Ohre .

The nature reserve is part of the Drömling Saxony-Anhalt biosphere reserve established in 2019 .

Reason for erection

In this area the water table is quite high. Therefore, an adapted, near-natural forest biotope was built here.
