The Jemmeritzer Moor is a nature reserve in the town of Kalbe (Milde) in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0047 is 20.56  hectares . It is made of the conservation area surrounded "Zichtauer mountains and Klötzer forestry". The area has been under protection since July 5, 1978. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel.

The nature reserve lies between Klötze and Kalbe (Milde) in the Jemmeritzer Heide. It places a part of the Bäke valley under protection in a moraine landscape that is partially marshland . The area is characterized by a cranberry-fir forest with pines and spruces . Pipe grass and peat moss grow in the wet and muddy areas caused by spring water . You can also find downy birch , bracken and blueberry as well as seven-star , climbing larkspur and rib fern . Wet sources are occupied by Braunseggen swamp and Rispenseggen ried with angular sedge , brook chickweed and alternate milkweed . Silting areas in Bach nearby are from shore harrows ried with Big balsam , bitter smock and swamp Haarstrang taken.

The nature reserve is u. a. Habitat for many bird species , including goshawks , woodcock , stock dove , wryneck and bullfinch . Various amphibians and reptiles are also native here, including the forest lizard , adder , common toad and common frog . A special feature for the Altmark is the occurrence of the fire salamander .

The Jemmeritzer Moor is looked after by the Naturschutzbund Deutschland . 19.8 hectares of the nature reserve belong to the NABU Foundation for National Natural Heritage .
