The Harper Moor is a nature reserve in the municipality of Zehrental in the district of Stendal and the town of Arendsee (Altmark) in the Altmark district of Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0273 is 296  hectares in size. A 120 hectare area in the Stendal district is also designated as the FFH area “Der Most bei Harpe”. The area has been under protection since 2006 (date of regulation: May 3, 2006). Responsible lower nature conservation authorities are the districts of Stendal and the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel.

The nature reserve is located northeast of Arendsee (Altmark). It places a drained low moor on the southern edge of the Elbe glacial valley and adjacent inland dune areas under protection. Forests grow thick in large parts of the protected area. The drier areas are mainly occupied by coniferous forests. The core area of ​​the nature reserve is characterized by damp to wet locations with birch and alder forests as well as wet meadows and swamps . In the north-eastern area, grassland areas predominate. On the peat soils grow and a. Royal fern and bell heather .
