Waldfrieden and Vogelherd im Hohen Holz is a nature reserve in the town of Oschersleben (Bode) in the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG 0033 is 133.78  hectares in size. It is partly part of the FFH area "Hohes Holz bei Eggenstedt" and is surrounded by the landscape protection area "Hohes Holz, Saures Holz with eastern foreland". The area has been under protection since May 1, 1961. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Börde.

The nature reserve is located northwest of Oschersleben (Bode) in the Hohen Holz , the only larger forest area in the Börde hill country in the Magdeburg Börde . It is completely embedded in the forest area on the Hohen Holz and is a sessile oak-hornbeam forest with transition to the beech forest under protection.

The forest is predominantly characterized by beech and sessile oak . Furthermore, in the are tree layer in particular, hornbeam , wild cherry , ash and English oak to find. While the shrub layer is hardly pronounced, the herb layer is u. a. formed by woodruff , wood sorrel , quaking grass harrow , spotted lungwort and great witchweed .

The west of the nature reserve is dominated by the common beech. Here woodruff, forest flutter grass and fox's ragwort can be found in the herb layer, and in shady and cool locations also common lady fern , oak fern and common worm fern .

Parts of the forests in the nature reserve are spruce and larch forests. These are to be converted into semi-natural and site-typical mixed deciduous forests in the sense of the protection purpose .

In the nature reserve are u. a. Mouflon and fallow deer are native. A high density of birds of prey is noticeable . a. the red kite is also native.
