Schiff & Zeit is a German journal with scientific standards, which was published from 1973 to 2012 by Koehlers-Verlag by the German Society for Shipping and Marine History (DGSM) in Hamburg. The periodical was devoted to maritime and historical topics. After the DGSM and the working group for shipping and naval history joined forces in 1992 , their publications were also published under the title Schiff & Zeit - Panorama maritim from issue 36. The counting of ship & time was retained. Former editors-in-chief included Jochen Brennecke andJan Heitmann .

As of 2013, Schiff Classic was published by GeraMond Verlag as a successor. In 2019/20 the board of DGSM decided to launch Schiff & Zeit. To reissue Panorama maritim in order to guarantee a wider range of topics and specialist editorial support. In July 2020, the first issue of the new edition was published under No. 118. The journal is published by the DGSM; The editor-in-chief is the historian Dr. Dirk victory.
