The Runsa ship setting ( Swedish Runsa skeppssättning ) is located in the municipality of Upplands Väsby in Uppland in Sweden .
Runsa is a 53 m long and 16 m wide ship setting on a burial ground . The ship consists of 28 stones up to 2.0 m long and 0.9 m high lying (instead of the usually standing) stones. A smaller ship nearby has gone out.
The ship setting is part of a burial ground , which also consists of 33 stone circles ( Domarring ), which are dated to the Germanic Iron Age (400 - 500 AD). The cemetery is located near the Runsa fornborg , a prehistoric hill fort that existed in this form and at this time only in parts of Sweden. One theory says that the Fornborg users used the area as a burial ground.
