The slaughterhouse site was located southeast of downtown Quedlinburg at the address Badeborner Weg 2 . The slaughterhouse took up the area on the corner of Badeborner Weg and Rathenaustraße. The railway line leads south of the site to Quedlinburg station . The existing structure is entered in the Quedlinburg monument register.
Architecture and history
The slaughterhouse in his day locked in parts remaining building was built in 1896. There were built several brick buildings in its color design and decorating with ornaments were coordinated. Architecturally unusual is the central, tower-like chimney which is still preserved today and which was harmoniously integrated into the roof structure.
After the slaughterhouse was closed, various buildings were demolished and the buildings that were preserved were given new uses. A shopping center was built on the site of the slaughterhouse.
