Schledde

Streams in a limited landscape are designated as Schledde , which only occasionally carry water after heavy rainfall and in winter. These temporary waters are widespread in the area around Soest on the northern slope of the Haarstrang as well as in the Soest Börde to the north . Sometimes the word Schledde is also applied to the associated dry valleys in the hair strand.
